OUR MISSION
Johnson STEM Activity Center, Inc. (JSAC) has been serving Atlanta's children for over a decade.  As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our mission is to empower students from diverse and underserved communities through exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).  Our students develop self-confidence and leadership skills by experiencing success while overcoming a multitude of challenges in STEM.

Robotics

The Johnson STEM Activity Center is "home" to several robotics teams.  All resident teams have their own 10' x 10' build space as well as access to a regulation sized robotics field, a fully equipped machine shop and three dimensional (3D) printers.

    Students from any one of our eight (8) member robotics teams may be designing, tinkering, building or programming their robots for their upcoming regional and national competitions. Plus, children may be working on their LEGO building projects after school or on the weekends.

    JavaScript Class This nine week course will introduce the fundamentals of JavaScript in a fun and interactive way that can be applied to other programming languages. An introduction to variables, loops, classes, and foundational concepts to Object-Oriented Programming will be included.
